Ms. Atsumi (School Manager)
Hello. My name is Atsumi. I'm happy to be a part of Sunrise. I have loved English since I was a child, so I went to New Zealand and the United States to study English.
While living abroad, I had the pleasure of meeting people from different countries and having conversations in English.
During my six years in Michigan, I studied in the childcare department of a college, became certified as a local nursery teacher and kindergarten teacher, and worked at a local kindergarten for three years.
During this time, I also experienced childbirth and child rearing, and felt the need to learn English for daily life, which was not taught in school. After returning to Japan, I worked as a homeroom teacher at a licensed nursery school from 0 to 5 years old, gaining experience in childcare. Using this experience, I would like to take good care of your child at Sunrise, trying to provide careful care in English, and to make Sunrise a warm place like home.

Ms. Eriko
Hello, everyone.
My name is Eriko Suzuki.
I’m very pleased to be with wonderful kids at Sunrise Kids International Scool.
I’ve taught English to children ages 6 to 15 for many years.
I also have experience in teaching English at elementary school.
It has been so interesting for me to interact with kids.
My family lived in America for my husband’s job for 4 years.
During the stay, my sons went to a local nursery schiool and kindergarten, and my third son was born there.
I became more interested in childcare through raising my boys in America because there were many new things to learn as a mother.
Every child grows and develops differently, doing things at their own pace, but they keep growing.
I’m very happy to see their growth on a daily basis.
I’d like to do my best to be a good supporter of each child.
Thank you.

Ms. Kokoro
Hello everyone, my name is Kokoro Negami. I am very looking forward to spending time with children and their parents at Sunrise Kids International School Shonan Hiratsuka.
I love to see energetic children and I wanted to support such children, so I got a license as a nurse and a school nurse teacher. In college, I studied pediatric nursing with a particular emphasis on pediatric nursing.
I learned a lot about diseases that children are prone to and the signs of physical changes, and I would like to put this knowledge to good use. I will do my best to support children so that they can spend their time at Sunrise in good health!
I also try to actively participate in international exchange events to broaden my horizons and to be able to think in a variety of ways. I will continue to make efforts to study English and enjoy many conversations with children. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
Ms. Tomoko
Hello, everyone! My name is Tomoko Sunako. I am happy to be a part of Sunrise Kids International school.
Since I was a student, I have been interested in foreign music and culture, and have studied English abroad for short periods of time, while staying with host families in the UK, Australia, Canada.
When I visited New Zealand on a trip, I was fascinated by its natural beauty, and got a workpermit visa and spent about five years there. I also had the opportunity to volunteer at a local kindergarten. Surrounded by children and educators from various backgrounds, I witnessed differences in history, beliefs, and values, and learned the importance of accepting them. After returning to Japan, I gave birth, raised children, and worked as a nursery teacher, and re-realized the importance of interaction with infants and young children.
I strongly feel that I want to do my best to support them in developing their wonderful personalities. Thank you.

Hello everyone! My name is Danielle and I’m from Oregon, USA. I am half-Japanese but I lived most of my life in the US so I consider my mother tongue to be English! However, I can understand most Japanese, so it’s okay to speak with me in Japanese. On my free time, I enjoy cooking, art and DIY, traveling, and watching movies. I also enjoy watching sports as I used to play soccer throughout school!
I’ve been working as an English teacher in Japan for almost three years now and I’m really excited to join Sunrise Kids International School! Thank you everyone. danielle
