Bringing Kids to School and Visiting
We will not turn kids over to anyone other than those registered as their parent/guardian nor any persons without the certificate we provided when registering at our school.
We also won't turn kids over to a person coming to pick up kids for you.
Visitors to the school must check in at reception.
Locked Doors
To prevent unauthorized persons from entering the facility, the doors remain locked during school hours. For anyone visiting the school, please use the intercom.
School Rooms and Terrace
Desks, chairs, and play equipment are used with the utmost level of safety. All furniture has rounded edges and any places that could be hazardous are kept covered. The lower walls are also padded with soft materials. All rooms have viewing windows so children can be monitored at all times.
Emergency/Evacuation Drills
Each month we conduct safety drills to prepare for emergencies such as earthquakes or fires. In the event of such a disaster, there are two exits on the first floor where we will safely evacuate the building.
Natural Disasters
For typhoons, earthquakes, blizzards, etc. we will post whether school will be closed for the day by 7:00am on our website. Please check in advance as there may be instances where we will be unable to contact families directly.
Insurance
All children at our school are entered into liability insurance.
Use of Personal Information
We take the protection of personal information very seriously and will not disclose any information or photos of your children without consent.
For parents, your personal account page can only be viewed by you and is only viewable if your child is currently enrolled with us.
Hygiene
Cleaning and Disinfecting
We routinely clean and apply disinfectant to all surfaces kids can touch in the school.
School Environment
We use air purifiers for all of the air conditioners/heaters in the rooms. The terrace is also big and wide open for kids to play safely. The natural wood floors use 7 layers of UV coating and are outfitted with heat insulation materials. Everything in our school is easy to clean allowing for a clean environment used every day.
Napping Beds
For afternoon naps, the kids do not sleep on futons directly on the floors. Instead, the beds are elevated slightly from the floors as this is cooler in summer, warmer in winter, and more hygienic as it keeps kids away from dust or other potential allergens.
Infectious and Contagious Diseases
To protect against disease, we routinely disinfect the toys and equipment in our school. If children have the mumps, the flu, or other such congatious diseases, they may not attend school until fully recovered. When returning to school, please present a doctor's note stating attendance is permitted. To protect against infection, all children's towels and water bottles are never shared with others.
